General Expectations:
Respect: Treat all fellow participants, coaches, volunteers, and spectators with kindness, respect, and consideration. Bullying, name-calling, or any form of disrespectful or discriminatory behaviour is strictly prohibited.
Fair Play: Embrace the spirit of fair play and honesty in all carnival activities. Cheating, dishonesty, or unsportsmanlike conduct is not acceptable.
Safety First: Prioritise safety above all else. Follow safety rules and guidelines for each activity, and immediately report any injuries or unsafe situations to a Thrive coach.
Sportsmanship: Whether you win or lose, show good sportsmanship. Congratulate opponents, shake hands, and maintain a positive attitude throughout the carnival.
Teamwork: Cooperate and communicate effectively with your teammates. Remember that the carnival is about teamwork, learning, and having fun.
Listen to Coaches: Listen to and follow instructions from your coaches and event staff. They are there to help you learn and succeed.
Equipment Care: Take good care of any equipment or materials provided for the activities. Return them in the same condition you received them.
Consequences of Violations: Violations of this behavior policy may result in appropriate actions, which can include:
-Verbal reminders and warnings
-Temporary suspension from certain activities
-Parental notification and involvement
-Removal from the Thrive Sports Carnival for severe or repeated violations
Reporting Violations: If your child or any child witnesses violations of this behavior policy, please report them to Thrive coaches immediately.
